Pumping out @ Aliso Creek, Laguna Beach on January 24th, 2014

The light was changing from where I was shooting from so I got up to walk to the south end of the beach to shoot from there. I know I would be behind the skimboarders and would miss most of the action as the A-frame set up in front of me and they would disappear below the line, but I still wanted to see what I could see… Turns out, there were plenty of killer shots; not necessarily of the skimboarders, but of wave breaks, long shots, etc… This shot is of one of the skimboarders pumping on that north-bound wave that ran perpendicular to the beach, heading to meet an incoming westbound wave that would set up a choice A-frame.
